I’m Laurence Musgrove, a Texas writer, teacher, cartoonist, and editor. My books include Local Bird – a poetry collection, One Kind of Recording – a volume of aphorisms, and The Bluebonnet Sutras – Buddhist dialogues in verse, all from Lamar University Literary Press.

I also teach at Angelo State University, edit Texas Poetry Assignment, and draw cartoons here at Substack.

And this is my friend, Tex. He’s been sharing his wisdom, wisecracks, and wit with me for many years now, and we’ve recently agreed to share his point-of-view here on Substack beginning April 1, 2022, a new weekly cartoon every Friday morning at about breakfast time.
